Economic History of Mughal India, Volume II brings together a selection of seventeen essays written over the last four decades. The book examines a variety of topics, touching upon imperial revenue administration, monetary systems, land revenue and rights, and the development of the economy in urban centres during the reigns of Akbar, Shahjahan, and Aurangzeb.

This is the second in a four-volume set that brings together the author’s collected writings.
